“I believe that the body is the greatest and most efficient machine ever created.”
Being a mechanic in his past occupation and realizing that every machine built by man is based on the human body, has made osteopathy come easy to Adrian. He uses a lot of the problem solving techniques learned as a mechanic to find the origin of a problem. “I use the example of when you take your car to the garage when it keeps wearing tyres out, there is no point keep changing the tyres, you correct the tracking.”
Adrian has a strong understanding of the bio-mechanical systems of the body, breathing mechanics and exercises, how the subconscious/emotions work on the body, analysing posture and also locating causal chains or patterns.
He used to play Rugby League in his younger days, and represented Wigan, Lancashire and Great Britain. He had a short professional term at the great R.L. club Wigan. Adrian also likes playing squash, boxing, kayaking and fishing and would like to learn to surf!
Adrian has also studied Eastern Medicine which includes Tai Chi and Yoga. He has qualifications in BodyTalk and Cranial Osteopathy.

Martin
OSTEOPATH
Martin has spent the last 7 years working in Auckland and was also a clinical tutor at the Unitec Osteopathic Teaching Clinic. His involvement in the Unitec run/walk series and the Auckland marathon has generated huge experience in treating sporting injuries.
Martin’s osteopathic approach is aimed at finding imbalances within the musculo-skeletal system and re-balancing them using structural techniques combined with exercise prescription.
One of Martin’s favourite aspects of osteopathy is that it allows the patient and practitioner to find the cause and resolve the problem together rather than just treating the symptoms.
Martin is very much enjoying the change from Auckland to Whangarei where he plans to settle with his lovely partner Nina. In his spare time Martin enjoys hiking and woodwork. Being German he also brews his own beer.
